Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together over low heat. Stir well and allow to cool slightly.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the melted chocolate-butter mixture to the egg-sugar mixture and stir until smooth.
5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the chocolate batter.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the cake is set but still slightly moist in the center.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Enjoy it plain or with whipped cream.
