Delicious and quick falafels perfect for snacking or as a side dish.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings

Ingredients

- 1 cup organic spelt coarse flour
- Spelt flour for coating
- Oil for frying
- A handful of cashew nuts
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- A couple of pickled jalapeños
- A couple of garlic cloves
- A splash of manzanilla or lemon juice
- 1 can of cooked chickpeas
- ½ cup sweet chili sauce

Instructions

1. Rinse the chickpeas and place all ingredients into a blender or use an immersion blender.
2. Blend the ingredients until you have a smooth mixture.
3. Shape the dough into small balls or flat patties.
4. Place spelt flour on a shallow plate for coating.
5. Roll the falafels in the flour.
6. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the falafels until golden brown on both sides.
7. Serve warm, preferably with a salad or dip.
