Ingredients:

- 1 kg starchy potatoes
- 2 dl milk
- 50 g butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste (optional)

Instructions:

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into large cubes.
2. Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes, until they are soft.
3. Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot.
4. Add the butter and warm milk to the potatoes.
5. Mash the potatoes until smooth using a potato masher or fork.
