A delicate pastel-colored cake perfect for a little girl's christening, featuring a chocolate cake base and black currant mousse, beautifully decorated with fondant. Preparation Time: 2 hours

Ingredients
- Chocolate Cake Base:- 200 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 100 ml milk
- Black Currant Mousse:
- 300 g black currants (fresh or frozen)
- 100 g sugar
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 3 gelatin leaves
- 50 ml water
- Frosting and Decorations:
- 500 g white fondant
- Pastel-colored fondants (light pink, light green, purple)
- Small baby shoes and flower decorations
- Child's name in fondant
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chocolate Cake Base:- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients and incorporate them into the batter alternately with the milk.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool.
2. Prepare the Black Currant Mousse:
- Soak the gelatin leaves in cold water for about 5-10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat the black currants and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Blend the mixture until smooth.
- Add the soaked gelatin leaves to the warm black currant puree and mix well. Let it cool.
- Whip the cream and fold it into the cooled black currant puree.
3. Assemble the Cake:
- Slice the chocolate cake into three layers.
- Fill the layers with black currant mousse and refrigerate the cake for about an hour to set.
4. Frost and Decorate:
- Cover the cake with fondant and shape the decorations from pastel-colored fondants.
- Place the decorations on top of the cake and write the child's name using fondant.
