Ingredients:
- 2 dl barley
- 1 l water
- 2 apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Milk or yogurt for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Rinse the barley in cold water.
2. In a large pot, cook the barley in water for about 20-25 minutes until soft. Add the salt towards the end of cooking.
3. Peel and dice the apples into small cubes.
4. Add the apple cubes, cinnamon, and honey to the barley mixture. Stir well and let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
5. Serve the porridge hot with milk or yogurt if desired.
