A delicious and nutty apple tart perfect for dessert.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 100 g butter
- 1 dl brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 dl all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 dl diced apples
- 100 g sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp potato starch
- 1 dl crushed cashew nuts
- 3 tbsp cane sugar
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and cinnamon) and then add it to the batter.
3. Spread the batter into a springform pan (22 cm or 18 cm).
4. Peel and dice the apples, then arrange them on top of the batter.
5. In another bowl, mix together the sour cream, vanilla sugar, and potato starch, and spread the mixture over the apples.
6. Crush the cashew nuts and sprinkle them over the tart.
7. Sprinkle the cane sugar on top.
8. Bake the tart in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) on the lower rack for about 45 minutes.
9. Allow the tart to cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
