This recipe guides you to prepare perfectly tender beef using the sous vide method. The meat cooks evenly and retains its juiciness, making it incredibly delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef steak (e.g., entrecôte or beef tenderloin)- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions:
1. Season the beef with salt, black pepper, crushed garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Rub the spices well into the meat.2. Place the beef in a vacuum bag and add olive oil. Seal the bag tightly using a vacuum sealer.
3. Set the sous vide machine in water and adjust the temperature to 56°C (medium-rare) or your desired doneness.
4. Let the beef cook sous vide for 24 hours.
5. Once cooking time is up, remove the beef from the bag and pat it dry gently with paper towels.
6. Heat a skillet over high heat and add a little oil. Sear the beef in the pan for about 1-2 minutes on each side until the surface is beautifully browned.
7. Allow the beef to rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your choice of sides.
