Ingredients:
- 200 g butter - 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.2. In a bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
5. Divide the batter into two portions. Mix cocoa powder into one portion.
6. Pour the light and dark batters into the pan alternately, and lightly swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
