Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti)
- 200 g ground game meat (e.g., elk or deer)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 200 g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and crushed garlic, sauté for about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the ground game meat to the skillet and cook until browned and fully cooked.
4. Add the diced bell pepper and halved cherry tomatoes, sauté for a few more minutes until the vegetables soften.
5. Season the mixture with oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and combine all ingredients. Heat for a moment longer.
7. Serve the pasta on plates and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
