Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 100 ml milk
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the butter and let it cool.
3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the melted butter and milk to the mixture and mix well.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg-butter mixture, stirring until smooth.
6. Divide the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, add the cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Mix well.
7. Spoon the light and dark batters alternately into the prepared pan, and use a knife or fork to create a beautiful marbled effect.
8. Bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through (test with a toothpick).
9. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
