Ingredients:
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 200 g fresh strawberries
- 100 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50 g butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
2. Wash and slice the strawberries. Mix them with half of the sugar and set aside.
3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the remaining sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the ricotta cheese, melted butter, vanilla sugar, and salt to the egg mixture. Mix well.
5. Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture and gently fold until combined.
6. Pour the batter into the greased pan and sprinkle the strawberry slices on top.
7. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and cooked through.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Enjoy it plain or with whipped cream.
