These maki rolls are easy and quick to make, even without a bamboo mat. They are delicious and simple to eat with chopsticks. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 2-4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2-3 sheets of nori seaweed - 1 cup cooked rice (e.g., sushi rice)
- 1 avocado
- 1 cucumber
- 100 g fresh salmon or other fish (alternatively tofu)
- Soy sauce for serving
- Wasabi and ginger (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook rice according to package instructions and let it cool slightly. 2. Slice the avocado, cucumber, and fish (or tofu) into thin strips.
3. Take one sheet of nori and place it on a flat surface.
4. Spread the rice evenly over the nori, leaving about 2 cm at the edges.
5. Place the avocado, cucumber, and fish strips on top of the rice.
6. Roll the nori from the bottom up, keeping it tight.
7. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces and serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger.
