Delicious macarons filled with a refreshing orange chocolate ganache, perfect for sweet treats. Ideal for Halloween celebrations, you can decorate them as you wish!
Preparation Time: 1 hour + setting time
Serving Size: About 20 macarons

Ingredients:

- Macaron Shells:
- 100 g almond flour
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 75 g egg whites (about 2 eggs)
- 50 g granulated sugar
- Orange food coloring
- Orange Chocolate Ganache:
- 150 ml cream
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 250 g milk chocolate

Instructions:

1. Prepare the macaron batter: Combine almond flour and powdered sugar. Whip the egg whites until foamy, then gradually add the granulated sugar until the mixture is glossy and stiff. Add the orange food coloring and mix. Gently fold in the almond flour and powdered sugar mixture until the batter is smooth and flowing.
2. Pipe the macarons: Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe evenly sized circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow them to dry at room temperature for about 30-60 minutes, until the surface feels dry.
3. Bake the macarons: Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). Bake the macarons in the oven for about 12-15 minutes. Let them cool completely before filling.
4. Make the orange chocolate ganache: Grate the orange zest and add the cream to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and let it steep for 10 minutes. Bring it back to a boil and pour the mixture over the chocolate in a bowl, straining it through a sieve. Stir until smooth and add the squeezed orange juice. Let the filling cool at room temperature overnight.
5. Fill the macarons: Take two equal-sized macaron shells and place filling on one. Top with the other shell and press gently together.
6. Decorate: If desired, decorate the macarons with edible eyes or other decorations.
