Ingredients:
- 2 ½ dl sugar
- 1 ½ dl vegetable oil
- 1 dl yogurt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 ½ dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dl milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 tbsp red food coloring
Frosting:
- 200 g cream cheese
- 100 g butter
- 3 dl powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, and yogurt. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3. In another bowl, combine the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring, mixing until well combined.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
7. To prepare the frosting, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
8. Spread the frosting over the cooled cake.
9. Serve and enjoy with coffee!
