A delightful and easy pastry combining crispy puff pastry and sweet plum jam. Perfect for coffee time or dessert.

Serving Size: 12 squares

Ingredients

- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 1 jar plum jam or 12 fresh plums
- Sugar
- Powdered sugar
- 1 egg

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
2. Cut the frozen puff pastry sheets into squares and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3. Crack the egg and beat it, then brush the squares with the egg wash.
4. Sprinkle sugar over the tops.
5. Spread the plum jam on the squares.
- If using fresh plums, wash, halve, and pit them. Place the plum halves on top of the squares.
6. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the squares are golden brown.
7. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
