Description: A delightful and tangy salmon dish cooked in a zesty sauce with white wine and capers. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg boneless salmon fillets
- 1 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the sauce:
- 1 dl white wine
- 2 dl chicken broth
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 dl capers
- 25 g butter
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp liquid honey
- 2 tsp dill paste
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
1. Remove the skin from the salmon fillet and cut it into serving pieces.
2. Mix the flour with salt and black pepper. Dredge the salmon pieces in the flour mixture.
3. Heat the butter and olive oil in a pan. Cook the salmon pieces on both sides until the fish is cooked through. Remove from the pan and wipe off any excess fat.
4. Pour the white wine and chicken broth into the pan. Bring to a boil.
5. Add lemon juice, lemon slices, and capers. Lightly crush the capers with a spatula to release their flavor.
6. Stir in the butter into the sauce. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch and season with honey, dill paste, salt, and black pepper.
7. Return the salmon pieces to the pan and drizzle the sauce over them.
8. Serve with mashed potatoes or pasta.
