Ingredients:
- 125 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Frosting:
- 200 g cream cheese
- 50 g butter
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare the muffin tins.
2. In a bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla sugar.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin tins and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
8. To prepare the frosting, beat the softened butter and cream cheese in a bowl until creamy.
9. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until the frosting is smooth. If desired, add food coloring.
10. Decorate the cooled cupcakes with the frosting and enjoy!
