A delightful dish featuring creamy shrimp spread on toasted bread, topped with melted cheese. Perfect for a light meal or snack. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g cooked shrimp
- 4 slices of white bread
- 100 g cream cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 dl grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or Cheddar)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for frying
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the shrimp, cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper.
2. Lightly butter the bread slices and toast them in a pan until golden brown.
3. Spread the shrimp mixture over the toasted bread slices.
4. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of each slice.
5. Place the toasts in the oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
6. Serve warm as a light meal or delicious snack.
