A lovely and spring-like cake base that evokes the beauty of cherry blossoms. Perfect for layered cakes or served alongside coffee. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 8-10 slices
Ingredients:
- 200 g sugar - 200 g butter
- 4 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.2. Cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt.
5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk, mixing until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and level the surface.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and cooked through (test with a skewer).
8. Allow to cool before serving.
