Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and dry them. You can peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin adds extra flavor.
3. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
4. Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure the spices coat the potatoes.
5. Bake the potatoes in the oven for about 45-50 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Turn the potatoes halfway through baking.
6. If using cheese, sprinkle it on the potatoes during the last 5 minutes of baking and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Remove the potatoes from the oven and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
