Ingredients:
- 300 g fresh strawberries
- 200 g sugar
- 200 g butter
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
3. In a bowl, cream together the room temperature butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Stir in the vanilla sugar.
6. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
9. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through.
10. Allow the cake to cool before inverting it onto a serving plate.
11. Decorate the cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream before serving.
