This delicious chocolate cake is the perfect choice for summer celebrations. Its rich chocolate flavor and beautiful rose decorations make it both stunning and tasty. Preparation Time: 1 hour + cooling
Serving Size: 10-12 slices
Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 3 dl sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 2 dl heavy cream (for piping)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for piping)
- Food coloring for rose decorations (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes. The cake is done when it is firm but slightly moist in the center.
7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a while before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. Whip the heavy cream and add the powdered sugar. Pipe the whipped cream on top of the cooled cake and decorate with food coloring if desired.
