Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
3. Stir the sugar into the melted chocolate-butter mixture until well combined.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. The cake should be cooked through but slightly moist in the center.
7. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
