Serving Size: 20 gingerbread pieces
Ingredients:
- 250 g butter - 200 g sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 800 g all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Decorations (e.g., powdered sugar, sprinkles, candies)
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add sugar and syrup. Heat on low until the sugar dissolves.2. Mix in the spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves) and baking soda.
3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and gradually add the flour to the mixture. Stir until smooth.
4. Add the egg and mix well. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
5. Roll out the dough to about 5 mm thick and cut out your desired shapes.
6. Bake the gingerbread pieces at 180°C for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
7. Allow to cool and decorate as you wish.
