Heavenly caramel popcorn infused with dark muscovado sugar and a hint of Christmas magic from cinnamon. Perfect for sharing during the festive season. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup popcorn kernels
- 200 g dark muscovado sugar
- 100 g butter
- 1/4 cup syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, add oil and salt. Pour in the popcorn kernels. Cover with a lid and pop the popcorn according to package instructions.
2. Transfer the popped popcorn to a large bowl.
3. For the caramel coating, add muscovado sugar, butter, syrup, and cinnamon to the pot. Heat over low until the sugar and butter melt and the mixture is smooth.
4. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and stir well to coat all the popcorn evenly.
5. Spread the caramel popcorn on parchment paper to cool.
