Ingredients:
- 200 g butter - 2 dl sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease and flour a cake pan. 2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and cocoa powder (if using). Gradually add the dry mixture to the batter alternately with the milk, mixing well.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
6. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
7. Allow the cake to cool before decorating. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
