A delicious and creamy potato casserole that combines potatoes, onions, and anchovy fillets. This classic dish is perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions. Preparation time: 1 hour
Serving size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 onions
- 200 g anchovy fillets
- 5 dl heavy cream
- 1 dl milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Butter (for greasing)
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Peel and chop the onions.
3. Grease a baking dish with butter.
4. Layer the dish with a layer of potatoes, followed by a layer of onions and anchovy fillets. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
5. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Pour this mixture over the potatoes.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
