This delicious homemade licorice is easy to make with ingredients you probably have on hand. It’s a perfect alternative to store-bought licorice and has a wonderfully homemade flavor.Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: About 15 pieces
Ingredients:
- 100 g licorice root powder
- 150 g muscovado sugar
- 100 ml dark syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 50 g all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the licorice root powder, muscovado sugar, salt, and all-purpose flour.
2. Heat the dark syrup in a saucepan over medium heat.
3. Once the syrup is hot, pour it into the dry ingredients and stir well until the mixture forms a smooth dough.
4. Pour the dough into a baking dish lined with parchment paper and flatten the surface.
5. Allow the licorice to cool at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
6. Once cooled, cut the licorice into pieces and enjoy!
