Ingredients:
- 75 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 orange (juice and zest)
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
2. In a mixing bowl, soften the butter at room temperature and add the sugar. Whip the mixture until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Zest the orange and squeeze its juice. Add both the zest and juice to the batter and mix thoroughly.
5. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the batter, folding gently until everything is well incorporated.
6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
