Ingredients:

- 150 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp mixed spice blend
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dl cream
- 6–7 dl all-purpose flour

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the sugar and syrup, and mix well.
2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the cinnamon, ginger, mixed spice blend, baking soda, and salt. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the cream and mix until the dough is uniform.
4. Gradually add flour until the dough is soft but not sticky.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
7. Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick and cut out shapes for cookies.
8. Transfer the cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes.
9. Allow to cool before decorating.
