Talvikakku is a delightful and moist cake, perfect for winter celebrations or coffee gatherings.
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 100 g chocolate (white or dark)
- 150 g frozen berries (e.g., blueberries or lingonberries)
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter alternately with the milk, mixing until smooth.
4. Melt the chocolate and fold it into the batter carefully.
5. Gently fold in the frozen berries.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Dust with powdered sugar for decoration.
