Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Peel and crush the garlic.
3. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
4. Grease a baking dish with butter.
5. Layer the potato slices in the dish and sprinkle the crushed garlic on top.
6. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes.
7. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it on top of the layer.
8. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
