Ingredients:

- 6 large apples
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- ½ cup low-fat buttermilk
- ⅔ cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter in the microwave and let it cool slightly.
2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, sugar, and cinnamon sugar.
3. Add the melted butter and buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
4. Spread the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Core and slice the apples. Arrange the apple slices on top of the batter.
6. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
