A delicious and effortless spelt nut pie, perfect for snacking on at various occasions.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 12 pieces
Ingredients:
- 200 g spelt flour
- 100 g butter or margarine
- 50 g sugar (or sweetener to taste)
- 1 dl nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 dl milk or plant-based alternative
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C).
2. In a bowl, mix the spelt flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt.
3. Add the softened butter and mix until the dough is crumbly.
4. Add the egg and milk, and mix until a smooth dough forms.
5. Chop the nuts and fold them into the dough.
6. Pour the dough into a pie dish lined with baking paper and smooth the surface.
7. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into pieces and serving.
