A delightful and melt-in-your-mouth cake, perfect for summer celebrations. This recipe is easy and you can prepare the base a day in advance.

Serving Size: 8-10 servings

Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 200 g wild strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- Powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter and let it cool.
2. In a bowl, beat together the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
3. Add the melted butter to the egg mixture and mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add this dry mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
6. Place the wild strawberries on top of the batter, gently pressing them in.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes or until the cake is cooked through. Check with a skewer for doneness.
8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before inverting it onto a serving plate.
9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
