A traditional Finnish dish made with reindeer blood, flour, and beer. Perfect for adventurous eaters! Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 45-60 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 dl reindeer blood
- 1 bottle (3.3 dl) light domestic beer
- 4 dl rye flour
- 50 g butter
- 1 large onion
- 2 tbsp syrup
- 1.5 tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion finely.
2. Sauté the onion in butter, then add syrup and salt. Mix well and let it cool.
3. In a bowl, combine reindeer blood and beer, then whisk in rye flour.
4. Add the cooled onions to the mixture and stir until well combined.
5. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour the mixture into the dish.
6. Bake in the oven at 200°C (about 400°F) for 45-60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
