- 6 small apples
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- Spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg to taste
- For Serving:

Instructions:
1. Toasting the Pecans:- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and toast the pecans for about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt.
- Drizzle the toasted pecans with the mixture and toast in the oven for an additional 5 minutes, being careful not to burn them.
2. Caramelizing the Apples:
- Peel and chop the apples.
- In a skillet, melt the butter and add the apples along with the brown sugar.
- Add lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, and the desired spices.
- Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the apples are soft and golden brown.
3. Serving:
- Scoop the vanilla ice cream onto plates, top with the caramelized apples and toasted pecans.
