A refreshing and spiced mulled drink infused with Earl Grey tea, vanilla, and lemon. Perfect for cozy winter evenings!
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 liter Rynkeby Cloudy apple juice
- 1 liter water
- 1 split vanilla bean
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 4 tablespoons Earl Grey tea
- 2-3 tablespoons honey (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (to taste)
- Vodka (optional, 4 cl per serving)
- Raisins, almonds, and kumquats (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Pour the apple juice and water into a pot.
2. Add the split vanilla bean, lemon zest, and spices to the pot.
3. Heat the mixture over medium heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
4. Remove the pot from the heat and add the Earl Grey tea. Let it steep for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Strain the glögi and sweeten it with honey and lemon juice to taste.
6. If desired, add 4 cl of vodka to each cup before pouring in the hot glögi.
7. Serve warm with raisins, almonds, and kumquats on the side.
