Banana Chocolate Cupcakes

A delicious and moist banana chocolate cake, perfect for your coffee table. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 12 cupcakes
Ingredients:
- 2-3 ripe bananas (about 350 g)
- 1 pack (130 g) Fazer DaCapo chocolate pieces
- 100 g butter
- 2 dl sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1/2 dl dark cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Frosting:
- 1 pack (130 g) Fazer DaCapo chocolate bites
- 25 g butter
Instructions:
1. Mash the peeled bananas with a fork. Chop the chocolate pieces with a knife.
2. Cream the room temperature butter and sugar together. Add the room temperature eggs one at a time, mixing well.
3. Combine the dry ingredients and sift them into the batter. Gently fold in the mashed bananas and chocolate pieces.
4. Spoon the batter into a greased and floured muffin tin (12 cups) or into cupcake liners. (For one large cake, use a greased and floured rectangular pan with a capacity of about 1 liter.)
5. Bake the cupcakes in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) on the lower rack for 50-55 minutes, and the large cake for 55-60 minutes.
6. Melt the chocolate pieces and butter together over low heat in a microwave or saucepan. Spread the chocolate mixture over the slightly cooled cupcakes. Optionally, sprinkle with chocolate shavings for decoration.
