Serving Size: 12 rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk - 1.7 oz fresh yeast
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 5.3 oz butter (melted)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 6.5 cups all-purpose flour
Filling:
- 3.5 oz butter (softened) - 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it. 2. Add the maple syrup, melted butter, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and egg. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and knead the dough until it is elastic.
4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1 cm thick.
6. Spread the softened butter, sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup evenly over the dough.
7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 1-inch thick pieces.
8. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
9. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
