A delightful treat of fried dough balls coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for dipping in Nutella. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 dl water
- 100 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- Oil for frying
- 1 dl sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- Nutella for dipping
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, heat the water, butter, sugar, and salt until boiling.
2. Add the flour and mix quickly until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pan.
3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the dough cool slightly.
4. Add the eggs one at a time to the dough, mixing well after each addition.
5. Heat the oil in a deep pot to about 180°C (350°F).
6. Shape the dough into small balls and fry them in the hot oil until golden brown.
7. In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
8. Roll the fried churro balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
9. Serve warm with Nutella for dipping. Enjoy!
