A delicious broccoli pie featuring a creamy sour cream and quark filling, sautéed onions, and savory parmesan. A perfect treat for spring showers! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter - 150 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 dl cold water
- 300 g broccolini stems
- 1 large onion
- 200 g sour cream
- 200 g quark
- 100 g parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pie crust: Melt the butter and mix it with the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and salt. Add the cold water and knead the dough until smooth. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.2. Pre-cook the filling: Boil the broccolini stems for about 3-5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and chop into small pieces.
3. Sauté the onion in a pan until golden brown. Let it cool.
4. In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, quark, parmesan cheese, eggs, black pepper, and nutmeg. Fold in the chopped broccolini and sautéed onion. Mix well.
5. Roll out the dough according to the size of your pie dish and transfer it into the dish. Pour the filling over the crust.
6. Bake the pie at 180°C (350°F) for about 30-35 minutes, until the filling is set and the top is beautifully golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
