A delicious and traditional Finnish dessert featuring a light and fluffy base with a creamy berry filling. Perfect for coffee tables or celebrations.

Ingredients:

- 125 g butter
- 3/4 dl sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1.5 dl all-purpose flour (or potato flour for gluten-free version)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 dl cream
- 2 dl berries (e.g., blueberries or raspberries)
- 1 dl sugar (for filling)
- 1 dl vanilla custard or whipped cream (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the sugar. Mix well.
3. Add the egg yolks and stir until smooth.
4. Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the cream. Mix until the batter is smooth.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Bake in the oven for about 30–35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and cooked through.
6. Allow the cake to cool before filling. Prepare the berries by mixing them with sugar.
7. Cut the cake in half and spread the berries on one half. Cover with the other half.
8. Decorate the cake with vanilla custard or whipped cream before serving.
