A delicious mulled wine inspired by Blossa 2015 flavor, perfect for creating a cozy holiday atmosphere at home. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of red wine
- 2 dl apple juice
- 2 dl water
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3-4 cardamom seeds
- 1 star anise
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 dl dried or fresh rose petals
- 1 dl dried or fresh juniper berries
- Optional: rum or brandy for serving
Instructions:
1. Pour the red wine, apple juice, and water into a large pot.
2. Add the sugar, cinnamon stick, cardamom seeds, star anise, and lemon zest.
3. Heat the mixture over low heat until it starts to steam. Do not boil.
4. Add the rose petals and juniper berries to the mixture and let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.
5. Strain the glögi into a glass and add rum or brandy if desired.
6. Serve warm and enjoy the festive atmosphere!
