A delightful and moist orange cake, perfect for coffee breaks or sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

- 2½ dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl sugar
- 2 dl cream (for decoration)
- 2 eggs
- ½ dl syrup
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 125 g melted butter
- For decoration: sprinkles, berries, etc.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the melted butter, orange zest, orange juice, and syrup. Mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry mixture to the egg mixture and stir until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the surface.
6. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and cooked through (test with a toothpick).
7. Allow the cake to cool before inverting it onto a serving plate.
8. Decorate with whipped cream, sprinkles, or berries before serving.
