Princess Cake with Strawberry-Chocolate Mousse

A delightful and exciting princess cake filled with delicious strawberry and chocolate mousses. Perfect for festive occasions, especially for little princesses! Preparation Time: 1 hour + chilling
Serving Size: 10-12 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 dl all-purpose flour - 2 dl sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 dl milk
- 1 dl oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 dl strawberry puree
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 dl sugar (for chocolate mousse)
- 1 dl sugar (for strawberry mousse)
- 2 gelatin sheets (for each mousse)
Instructions:
1. First, prepare the cake base. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.2. Add the milk, oil, and eggs, and mix until you have a smooth batter.
3. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 175 °C (350 °F) for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through. Let it cool completely.
4. Prepare the strawberry mousse: Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water. Heat the strawberry puree in a saucepan and add the gelatin sheets until they dissolve. Allow to cool.
5. In a separate bowl, whip the cream and sugar. Gently fold in the cooled strawberry puree.
6. Prepare the chocolate mousse: Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water. Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath. Heat the cream and add the gelatin sheets until they dissolve. Allow to cool, then mix the melted chocolate into the cream.
7. Cut the cooled cake into three layers. Spread the strawberry mousse on the first layer, place the second cake layer on top, and spread the chocolate mousse. Add the last layer of cake on top.
8. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for a few hours to allow the mousses to set properly.
9. Decorate the cake as desired before serving.
