Delicious loaf breads with a crispy crust and soft inside, perfect for breakfast or a snack. Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Serving Size: 2 loaves
Ingredients:
- 5 dl water - 1 piece (50 g) fresh yeast
- 1 tbsp liquid honey
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 10 dl all-purpose flour
- 5 dl coarse rye flour
- 3 dl grated cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1. Warm the water to body temperature and crumble the yeast into it, dissolving it well. 2. Add honey and salt to the water. Break the eggs into the mixture and stir.
3. Gradually incorporate the all-purpose and rye flours along with the grated cheese into the dough. Knead until the dough is elastic.
4. Add the olive oil towards the end and knead for a little longer.
5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 30 minutes.
6. Divide the risen dough into two parts and shape them into two elongated loaves on a floured surface.
7. Place the loaves in greased loaf pans and let them rise under a cloth for another 30 minutes.
8. Bake the loaves in an oven preheated to 225°C (437°F) for 35-40 minutes.
9. Brush the hot loaves lightly with water immediately after taking them out of the oven.
