A delightful banoffee pie that perfectly combines the flavors of banana and toffee. This rich dessert is perfect for cozy autumn evenings.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes + 2 hours chilling
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g pecans
- 100 g rolled oats
- 50 g melted butter
- 400 g sweetened condensed milk
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the crust: Blend the pecans and rolled oats in a food processor until finely ground. Combine with the melted butter and mix well.
2. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a round pie dish. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
3. Cook the sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat for about 1-2 hours, until it turns into toffee. Ensure the can remains submerged in water throughout the cooking.
4. Spread the toffee evenly over the crust.
5. Slice the bananas and arrange them on top of the toffee.
6. Whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas.
7. Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
