A delightful summer version of the classic banoffee pie, featuring whole bananas. This delicious pie is the perfect dessert for summer days. Preparation Time: 30 minutes + 2 hours in the fridge
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-baked pie crust
- 3-4 ripe bananas
- 400 g sweetened condensed milk
- 3 dl heavy cream
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the sweetened condensed milk by simmering it in a saucepan over low heat for about 2 hours until it thickens and turns a caramel color. Allow to cool.
2. Place the pre-baked pie crust on a serving plate.
3. Slice the bananas and arrange them evenly over the pie crust.
4. Pour the cooled condensed milk over the bananas.
5. Whip the heavy cream, adding the sugar and vanilla sugar. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the pie.
6. Garnish with chocolate shavings and let the pie set in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
