Crispy and golden, French Fries are a delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with grilled meats or salads. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel and wash the potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into thin strips lengthwise.
2. Boil the potato strips in salted water for about 5 minutes until slightly softened. Drain and let cool.
3. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C for fan ovens).
4. In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
5. Add the drained potatoes to the oil mixture and stir well to coat all the potatoes evenly.
6. Spread the potatoes evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through cooking time.
8. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
